The Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve now has a new 'Wetlands Sanctuary'. It was officially opened on the weekend with suitable fanfare. The boys enjoyed all the activities especially the fire brigade exhibit where they got to play with a hose and shoot down fire targets. Luke enjoyed being in the fire engine but did not want to use the radio to talk to the guy down the hill because "he is not online daddy!" Cameron also had the honour of being the first casualty at the first aid tent with a skinned knee. The Sanctuary itself is outstanding - a great place to walk around with the kids and hard to imagine that just 5 years ago it was burnt to a crisp in the Canberra bushfires.
