Tried to buy a new TV lately?

Last week my Sony TV (1998) started pumping out the smell of singed plastic and wiring which was followed by its own version of industrial action. We tried to negotiate a new AWA with improved conditions - fewer working hours and a reduction in grubby fingerprints on its face - but to no avail. So off Aaron went with the boys shopping for a new TV. Given we have a digital set top we decided not to upgrade, just a normal TV will be fine, no need for plasma and LCDs.

Newsflash people - you can't buy old normal TVs in a range of sizes anymore - the only sizes available were either ridiculously small or too big for our TV cabinet (and our stereo is wedged in there so tight with all the wiring for the DVD, set top, multi channel switcher we couldn't bear to have to also get a new cabinet - and hey where's the enviro-friendliness in that) so we bought a new LCD. More expensive and smaller than we'd have liked........

Liam and Angella bought a new TV recently too - here are two photos of them (with Vinnie) watching their old one - now they a super sized plasma screen perfect for enjoying a (Foster's owned) beer in front of the cricket.
