On our way home from Brisbane to Canberra we stopped in at the Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo. Saturday it was 37 degrees- extreme heat so we stayed in the airconditioned renault and drove around and around and around looking at the animals lying in the shade. We had lunch by the lake with a major disturbance caused by an Ibis stealing a chip out of Luke's hand. He chased the bird yelling "CHIPPEE CHIPPEE GIVE BACK THE CHIPPEE!!!"
We returned to Douglas House - a 2 bedroom house in Dubbo that was cool comfortable and cheap!! A great renovated place which the kids ran around in great delight.
Next day first thing we were back in a more suitable 24 degrees with rain. We jumped in and out of the car dodging the raindrops and took these photos with the boys.
